Raising Butterflys

Even though it is officially FALL I still have one more summer activity to blog about. The kids received a butterfly kit for their Birthdays. With this kit came 5 tiny Caterpillars, a jar full of food, and a butterfly tent. For about 10 days we watched our tiny caterpillars eat and eat and eat! Soon we had big caterpillars and a lot of poop. Next we watched as one by one they all climbed to the top of their cup and miraculously changed from caterpillar to chrysalis. Two weeks later another miracle, we magically had 5 beautiful butterfly's! After a few days of watching them in our butterfly tent it was time to let them go. We live right next to a wet land so it was the perfect spot for our butterfly's freedom. The kids had tons of fun watching their caterpillars grow and change into butterfly's. We will defiantly do this again next summer! Thanks Cindy and Sally for the great gift!

First Day of Preschool and Riding the Bus

Yesterday was Isabellas first day of Preschool. She is going to the same preschool Isaac did and she knew exactly were to go and what to do. It was also the first day I let Isaac ride the bus. It was alot harder to let him go to school on the bus then it was to drop him off. I was holding back tears as we watched the bus drive off. Both kids love school and are growing up way to fast.

Kindergarten!!!

Its hard to believe Isaac is already in school. He started kindergarten yesterday and is gone from 9:30 to 3:30. ALL DAY! Bella and I have both missed him and the house seems quiet and empty. We have tried to keep busy and enjoy the time I have with just Bella and me. So far Isaac has loved school and was really excited to go. His favorite part was that he gets to have recess 3 times. He was a little upset when I came to pick him up and he realized that he wasn't going to ride the bus. I think I will let him start riding the bus next week. Maybe?
