Swimming at the Park

We have found the best park ever!!! On one side is great toys for Isaac to play on with a big sandbox attached. In the middle of the park is a children's wading pool that is the perfect depth for Isaac, meaning its shallow enough that he can play in the water without me having to get wet too or me worry about him drowning. On the other side of the pool is tons of swings. The best part about this park is that its all so close together. Isaac can play in the pool one moment and then go and play on the toys and then head back to the pool. All within my watchful eye on the grass and I don't even need to get up!!

Nap Hair

This is what Isaac's hair looks like after he wakes up from his naps. The funny face just makes his hair even better!

Green Lake

Last weekend we went for a family walk around Green Lake, which is just a lake with a walking path all the way around it. It was a beautiful day and was great to get out and relax. Isaac really enjoyed all the ducks and all the dogs.

Isaac trying his hardest to reach the ducks in the water. Good thing he was strapped into his stroller or he would have jumped in after the ducks.

More Fun in Seattle

While my sister Makyla was visiting I had to take her to Pikes Place Market and show her around. We saw all the beautiful flowers and not so beautiful fish stands but it was super fun to see all the other vender's and what people were selling. Isaac enjoyed seeing the golden pig and got real up close and personal with him!

It wouldn't be a visit to Seattle if we didn't go to the Space Needle! So up we went. The view is wonderful and it was fun to find our house on one side of the Space Needle and then see Reuben's office and all the sky scrapers on the other.

We also went and saw some of the crazy art at the Olympic Art Park (not sure if that is what it's called). Interesting art but also a beautiful place to walk around enjoy the great outdoors of Seattle. And right across the street is The Old Spaghetti Factory were we headed for dinner.

Mess Maker

Cottage Cheese has always been one of Isaac's favorite things to eat, but since I have handed over control of feeding to Isaac he enjoys his cottage cheese even more. He is really good at using his spoon if I am in the room supervising, but this is what happens if I leave him to eat by himself. He can really make quite the mess!

All cleaned up after lunch

Cupcakes

We had a fun girls day out and went to a wonderful place called Trophy Cupcakes. They make wonderful cupcakes and we decided that is was worth it to try them all.

This is just me and Makyla's plate, at the top is red velvet, middle is coconut, bottom is triple chocolate, and the sides are vanilla chocolate. We also tried lemon, carrot cake, and peanut butter and jelly.

Surprise Surprise

So I got the surprise of my life last week when my sister Makyla showed up at my front door unannounced from Idaho!!! I was so surprised and shocked that she was here. She had been planning to come since March and wasn't going to tell Reuben or me but two days before she decided to let Reuben know she was coming so someone could pick her up from the airport. I really really enjoyed her company and so did Isaac. We miss her a ton and cant wait for friends and the rest of the family to come and visit. Here are a few pictures of us at Alki beach.

New Boots

Saturday we went to Alki Beach for the morning. It was beautiful, wonderful view of cruse ships and sailboats. This beach also has the best of both, sand and rock. Soft white sand that drops down to a smooth pebble beach. Isaac was in heaven sand, rocks and water. The only sad part was we wouldn't let him play in the water. First the water was freezing and second all he had on was his new leather sandals and I wasn't going to let him play in the water and mud with he new shoes. After the beach we did a little shopping and found these cute green frog boots for Isaac. Now he has something to wear when we go back to the beach. The funny thing is, Isaac wants to wear his boots all day long! This morning at 7am he came into our room holding his boots saying shoes over and over again I couldn't convince him to take his boots off until it was time for his nap. The pictures are Isaac with his pj's and boots on in our back yard.
