Finger Paints

Since we have been home Isaac has been begging to play with his paints and I always tell him he has to wait until dad gets home, but when dad gets home it never seems to happen so I finally broke down and got out the paints. I dont know why I was so anti paints? We had lots of fun and made some great pictures for Reuben when he got home and it really wasnt that big of a mess. I just threw Isaac in the bath after we were done.

We're Back

We are finally back to Iowa and our wonderful house! It has been a crazy week getting unpacked and ready for Reuben to go back to school and trying to get the kids new rooms put together! It has been great to be back at our own place and fun to see that Isaac knows this is his home and remembers where everything is. Since we have been home Isabella has been the perfect baby! She is on a great schedule and is sleeping wonderfully at night! She only gets up once to eat and then goes right back to sleep. Its also nice to see that Isaac really likes his little sister, today I found every single pacifier we own in her swing with her, and then after I cleared all the pacifiers out I found a few of his toys in the swing with her! He also comes and gets me every time she cries and tells me, baby cry baby cry. Now that the house is put back together we will be tackling the yard tomorrow. We have a ton of weeds and tall grass, Isaac will be sad when we cut down his jungle. One good thing about our yard is that my hydrangeas bloomed!!! Big beautiful pink blooms! I am so proud that my little start survived the bunnies and horrible winter.

Growing Girl

Yesterday we went to Isabella's one month check up. She now weighs 10.2 pounds and is 22 inches long. I didnt thinks she would already weigh that much but it sure is showing. She has already grown out of one outfit and is sporting a new double chin. She is also sleeping better at night. She usually goes to bed around nine and wakes up around one then eats and goes back to sleep until five. Some mornings she will go back to sleep and some times she decides to stay awake. When that happens I usually get Reuben up around six and I get to sleep in until he heads of to work at 8. Hopefully all the traveling this next week wont screw up her progress!

Playing with Papa

One of Isaac's favorite things to do now is fix things with his new tools. Him and Papa had lots of fun under the kitchen table pretending to fix the table.

Petting Zoo

I took Isaac and Isabella to the zoo one last time before we leave Seattle. Last time we went we didn't make it to the petting zoo so thats where we spent most of our time. Isaac loveed seeing all the animals and for some reason thought the goats were really funny. But his favorite part was not the animals it was an old tractor at the play area. He could have played on it for hours and was not happy when I made him get off so other kids could have a turn.

Beautiful Bows

Thanks to everyone for all the gifts, cards, and phone calls. We have been blessed with the best friends and family ever! Yesterday Isabella received a package in the mail from our friend Stephanie. She had sent the cutest bows that she made herself for Isabella. Isaac was curious about these things that I was putting in his sisters hair and wanted to try them out himself. I think he looks just as cute in them as Isabella does.

Seattle Aquarium

While my parents were here visiting we spent the day at the Seattle Aquarium. It was tons of fun! If you ever get the chance to go you should. We got to touch hugh starfish and feed sea urchins. Watch them feed the octopus and see every other sea creature you could think of.
