Mess Maker

Instead of playing with his toys Isaac would rather dump them all out and play inside the tub that holds all his toys. What was really funny was that he must have taken each toy out individually and very gently because I didn't hear any noise coming from his room and that is why I had gone in to check on him. To my surprise I found this big mess.

Curlly Hair

We all know that Isabella has some crazy hair. In the bath tub it just gets even better! With a little bit of water her crazy hair turns into a mass of curls.




Just in case you cant tell she also loves to play in the bath tub.

Rainy Days

Isaac loves to play outside no matter what the weather. It was raining one morning and Isaac was begging to go out and play. I had told him no because I didnt want him to get all wet. Well he won and we broke out the rain coat and his water boots. Reuben even played out in the puddles with him.

Strawberries

I had to take a few pictures of Isabella eating strawberries. If you cant tell by the pictures she loved them. No surprise, this girl loves to eat and will eat anything. She is also getting her first tooth and all she wants to do is chew and the only thing that seems to make her happy is food.

Thin Mints

Last week was Reuben's Birthday so to start off the celebrations we decided to make one of Reuben's favorite snacks. Thin Mints! They were really good and even better then that they were really easy to make! We also went to Wasserbahn, a little indoor water park. We all had tons of fun playing in the water. Isaac really enjoyed the kiddie area and even went down the water slide all by himself. Isabella also enjoyed hanging out in her floaty tub and splashing in the water.

8 Months

Isabella Ortega@ 8 months

Isabella just turned 8 months old and I can not believe how fast she is growing up! She loves to play and smile and is such a fun happy girl. She is getting her first tooth and will soon be crawling. She loves to eat and right now loves peas, cheerios, and strawberries. She also loves to drink water. We took her back to the doctor on Friday for another ultrasound of her kidneys and for a VCUG. This test was to see if her bladder was allowing urine back up into her kidneys. We wont know the status of her test until our doctor get back with us hopefully on Monday. We will keep everyone updated when we know more.

Three Little Piggies

Isabella's hair is getting soooo long! I already had to trim it once and it needs a serious cut right now. Yesterday I decided it was time for some pig tails. She looked so funny! Reuben and I couldn't stop laughing. Then I added a third piggy on top and we got to laugh all over again. We love our little girl and cant get enough of her and her crazy hair.

Where do you sleep?

Its always a guessing game to see where Isaac ends up falling asleep at bed time. Sometimes he is on the floor sometimes he stays in bed but lately we have been finding him in the corner curled up behind his Elmo chair. A few nights ago I went in to check on him before going to bed and at first I couldn't find him! He wasn't in his bed and he wasn't behind his Elmo chair. After a little searching I found him asleep in his closet next to the vacuum.

Quick Update

Sorry for the lack of blogging lately. I wish I had a good reason but I just haven't made time for it. We want to let everyone know that Isabella is doing great and is back to her normal happy self. She did have a ultra sound on her kidneys and we found a marble sized sist on her right kidney. This little pocket of infection has caused quite the problems for Isabella but with a heavy dose of antibiotics she is doing much better. In a week we will have another ultra sound to make sure all the infection is gone. Thanks for all the phone calls, prayers and concern.
