One Month Older and Wiser Too

Ava is now a month old! She is growing so much. She has outgrown her newborn clothes and is wearing 0-3 months. She has the best smile ever and it starting the talk and make cute noises. Isaac and Bella still adore her and I love cuddling with her and watching her funny faces. She is starting to get some chubby cheeks and rolls on her legs and arms. She has also discovered her hands and is really good at getting them to her mouth.

Halloween 2011

Better late then never! Here is our Halloween celebrations. Our best friends Sally and Cindy came trick-or-treating with us. They were red and green crayons. We all had a blast watching the kids get candy and having fun. Isaac and Bella changed their Halloween costumes a few times. First it was a Transformer for Isaac then Spider man and lastly a Ninja. Bella jumped between Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Ava stayed a cute Lady Bug and slept snugly through all the excitement of trick-or-treating.

Carving Pumpkins and Hair cuts

Craving pumpkins this year was a bit crazy! We decided we would tag team and do hair cuts and pumpkin carving all in one night. It worked, but was defiantly a bit rushed and crazy. We also threw in a surprise rotten pumpkin to go along with our crazy life. We started off by trimming Bella's hair only a inch. She wasn't very excited to get her hair cut but she survived and I think I might trim it again and try some layers in the back. While this was happening Reuben and Isaac were designing Isaac's pumpkin face and getting ready to carve it when I heard gagging noises. Turns out that Isaac's pumpkin was a soupy rotten mess inside and it smelled like an animal had died inside the pumpkin. So Isaac had to wait until Mom (who has an iron stomach) could clean out his pumpkin. So while Isaac's rotten pumpkin waited outside I cut Isaac's hair and Bella and Reuben carved her pumpkin. Once hair cuts were done and the kids were cleaned up I tackled Isaac's rotten pumpkin and then carved our big pumpkin. Even thought it was very crazy night it all turned out great and we made some interesting family pumpkin carving memories.

Pumpkin Patch

I made Reuben promise me that even though we had just had a new baby we would still take the kids to the pumpkin patch to pick out our perfect pumpkins. We wandered around and checked out all the pumpkins, Bella hunted for a pink one (she has a Pinkalicious book about Mr. Pinks Pumpkin Patch). She didn't find one but was happy to take home two small baby pumpkins. I made the kids pose in front of every photo thing they had set up. The first one they smiled and sat still the second one they wanted to do their own thing and by the third we were all frustrated! We finally found our perfect pumpkins. I think they were the only ones left in the entire pumpkin patch that weren't hugh and went home to do some carving.
