Whitey's Ice Cream

We have been in Iowa for about a year now and have never been to the Ped Mall in downtown Iowa City. So Reuben and I decided to venture out of our Coralville bubble and brave downtown. To start off our adventure Reuben made me drive!! Just to let everyone know I hate to drive in downtown anywhere especially when I have never been there and have no clue where to park! We made it there and found a parking spot with only a few bumps. We had a fun time walking around outside; except for the heat. I found a great store that sells a ton of awesome jewelry and of course we went a got some ice cream from Whitey's (the Chocolate Peanut butter was the bomb!). Isaac enjoyed the ice cream the most. We thought our adventure was over as we were pulling out of the parking garaged when we realized that we had no cash to pay for our parking ticket! The nice guy at the booth let us park again and Reuben had to run inside and find a ATM so we could pay and go home.

Happy Birthday to Isaac

Friday the 20th of July Isaac turned one years old!!! Wow, I cant believe my little boy is already one! This year has gone by so fast, and he has grown up so much! We had a fun day hanging out with Dad and in the afternoon we invited Morgan and Melissa and their son Eli (Isaac best friend) over for birthday cake and presents. Isaac enjoyed playing in his cake more than eating it, but that was ok because we got some great pictures of him making a mess and enjoying himself. Next came presents, Isaac's aunt Makyla sent some adorable clothes for him, we also got him some clothes but Isaac's favorite present was a toy train that he has played with every second since we got it out of the box. Which is great that he loves his new toy, but bad because for the last 3 days all we have heard is the song the train plays when you push the button for it to go. Right now the train is still cute but I don't know how long I can last hearing that song play over and over!

Wrestling with Dad

It must be a guy thing because Isaac loves to wrestle with Reuben when he gets home from school, but he dosen’t seem to enjoy wrestling with me. That's OK because I think Reuben enjoys it more than Isaac, even though Isaac always wins. And when Dads not around to wrestle with, Isaac practices his moves on his teddy bear.

A Picture of ME

This is for you Kassey and for anyone else that has been dying to see a picture of me and my new hair cut.

Day at the Park

We thought it would be fun to take Isaac to the park and see how he likes the toys and swings. It was the perfect afternoon and hardly anyone was at the park so Isaac was able to explore the toys without any bigger kids to get in his way.

Watch Isaac Walk

See for your own eyes our little boy decided to let go of the couch and take his first steps. He still crawls but is enjoying his new mode of transportation more and more everyday. He officially took his first steps on Saturday June 30th, but on Sunday we were at a birthday party for our friend Melissa and Isaac decided to show off and took off across the room for everyone to see. He is now walking very well and likes to chase mom and dad around the house.

The Koyle Family Adventures

Here are a few things we did to keep the family busy while they were visiting. Or first adventure was the Children's Museum

Our next adventure was a tour of Reuben's Law School. He showed us all around the building, where he studies and the law library.

Mom Dad and Wyatt on top of the Law building

The next day Reuben took his brother Armondo and Wyatt disc golfing and to see the movie Transformers, while Mom, Dad, Isaac and I went and toured the Amana Colonies, which is an old German settlement turned into a antique and craft tourist trap.

Wet n' Wild

The in-laws are visiting us for the 4Th of July and to stay cool we went to our local water park. We all had tons of fun, Isaac enjoyed his turtle floater and grandmas sunglasses, the boys enjoyed dunking each other and playing tag, grandma and Isaac wore each other out and took a nice nap while everyone else enjoyed the slides and pool. To finish our trip the boys posed in their colorful swim skirts.

Wow look at those sexy legs!! But don't look straight at the picture Dad's white skin might blind you!
